Struzzi: Nation’s Largest Natural Gas-Powered Data Center Will be Built in Homer City
April 2, 2025
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Jim Struzzi (R-Indiana) released the following statement upon the announcement that the country’s largest natural gas-powered data center campus will be built at the site of the Homer City Generating Station:
“The new natural gas-powered plant and AI data center planned for Homer City represents an incredible new future for Indiana County, our region and the Commonwealth. We must use our natural resources to grow our economy and unleash our energy potential. The Homer City Redevelopment project, which does just that, will have an immediate positive impact through 3,500 construction jobs at its peak, and once complete, will anchor our community with family-sustaining jobs. As a legislative leader, I am committed to reducing government red tape and unfair energy taxes to bring more development similar to Homer City to communities throughout our Commonwealth.”
